For the manager, although the context of the abrupt rise in the prices of construction supplies in recent months has impacted the entire materials industry, the products it offers have been able to resist, since it is made nationally.

“With these new processes and products, we help to make times and costs more efficient. Government guidelines

In an interview, the director of San Cayetano stressed that, although the strategy of this government to combat the housing deficit is to promote the self-production scheme, a regulation is needed for the use of cheaper and more sustainable materials in this type of model.

“In this part of the government, these processes have not yet been updated, they just released a self-production manual last year, but they are still traditional models of materials, there is a lack of approach to regulate because the quality of materials is not regulated,” he said. the director of San Cayetano.

According to Montoya, what the firm also seeks is to provide training so that the processes are more agile, especially in the context where there has been an increase in the need to expand or modify spaces within homes as a result of the health contingency. .
