Nuevo León goes with 3,500 million pesos in support for MiPymes

Monterrey, NL. The Secretary of Economy, Iván Rivas Rodríguez commented that to support micro, small and medium-sized companies, 200 million pesos will be invested in the Nuevo León Impulse Programwhich Nafin will multiply in credit guarantees by an amount of 3,500 million pesos.

“One of the objectives of the state government is to support MiPymes, we will do it through the Impulso program with 3,500 million pesos. We will have a bag double last yearat low rates, in addition to consulting and training,” he said during the inauguration of the plant of the German company Kern-Liebers, in the municipality of Guadalupe.

Rivas Rodríguez later commented that last year, credits were granted to 1,200 SMEsfor around 2,600 million pesos, this year the objective is to benefit 1,600 companies.

“Something very important is that last year the default or people who do not pay was less than 1%.”

“It is a spectacular program, we really did a program to filter companies so that they are the best, many times the banks do not lend, we ask them to increase the level of risk so that they can lend to SMEs,” he said.

He announced that the opening of the program will be announced shortly, which will also support these companies with training and consulting.

“We are going to get very involved in supporting micro and small businesses, because they are the ones that generate 70% of employment in Nuevo Leon,” he said.

Last year, the sector sought to be supported was services and 60% of the credits were for that sector, in fact, it is a countercyclical program to prop up businesses that need it most, he stressed.
