(CNN) — Evangeline Lilly gave an update on her Marvel colleague Jeremy Renner’s recovery.
The “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” actress told “Access Hollywood” that she recently visited Renner, who was crushed by his snowplow during an accident on New Year’s Day.
The couple starred together in the 2008 film, “The Hurt Locker.”
“I was at Jeremy’s house the other night, and he was in a wheelchair,” Lilly told “Access Hollywood.” “When we made that movie, he was very young and full of enthusiasm. And I remember being so impressed by him.”
Lilly called Renner “brave and strong” and said she has made a quick recovery.
“I walked into his house and I got goosebumps, because I was like, ‘Why can you move? Why can you move? What’s going on?’ She expected me to sit by her bedside and hold her hand while he moaned and moaned in pain and not being able to move. But he was spinning around, laughing with his friends.”
“It’s a miracle,” he added. “Simply a miracle.”
Her friend shared with her some of what had happened to him, Lilly said.
“It was really intense. I mean, he had a near-death experience that was very traumatic, and he was awake the whole time,” he said, adding: “I still have moments where he told me that he experienced some of the things and retold me the story. of what happened and the things that I could hear and the things that I could see.”
Renner posted details about his recovery and thanked his followers for their support on his verified Instagram and Twitter accounts.
