Mexican conglomerate Grupo Industrial Saltillo said on Friday that it received authorization from the Federal Economic Competition Commission to sell its coatings business, Vitromex, to US-based Mohawk Industries.
The agreement between Grupo Saltillo, which manufactures and markets auto parts and products for construction and the home, and Mohawk Industries had been announced on June 3, the US company reported in a statement.
The Mexican company has 7,000 employees in 18 production units, and operations in the Latin American country, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Italy and China, as well as a commercial and distribution presence in the United States.
