Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo ‘is diagnosed with a sprained wrist ligament after undergoing test and will return as soon as pain eases’ following his short-lived All-Star game appearance
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has reportedly sustained a sprained ligament in his right wrist after undergoing further testing on Monday.
Antetokounmpo is set to undergo treatment with the expectation that he will be able to return to the lineup once the pain and swelling eases, according to multiple reports.
He initially suffered the wrist injury midway through a game against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, just before the All-Star break and did not return to the game after being hurt.
After saying he would still participate in the All-Star game Antetokounmpo played the first possession with his wrist heavily bandaged before driving to the basket for a dunk on the game’s opening possession.
A time out was called immediately after the basket allowing for him to be subbed out and sit for the remainder of the game.Â
