Inauguration of the Mexican Caribbean pavilion at the Berlin fair: Sedetur

Chetumal.- Quintana Roo began its participation in the Berlin International Tourism Fair (ITB), one of the most important in the world, with a delegation of authorities, businessmen and industry leaders, headed by the head of the State Secretariat for Tourism (Sedetur), Bernardo Cueto Riestra and the director of the Tourism Promotion Council (CTPQ), Javier Aranda Pedrero.

The objective of the Mexican Caribbean delegation is to publicize new attractions and projects such as the Mayan Train, investments in infrastructure and the policies of the Government of Quintana Roo, such as the New Agreement for Well-being and Development promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa .

The Secretary of Federal Tourism (Sectur), Miguel Torruco Marqués and representatives of the Mexican embassy in Germany, were present at the inaugural ribbon cutting of the Mexican Caribbean tourist complex within the Mexican pavilion, one of the largest of the ITB, for the great diversity of destinations it offers.

The ITB in Berlin returns this year to the face-to-face format, after three online editions, and reduces its celebration days from five to three, from March 7 to 9, focusing its content exclusively on B2B (Business-to-Business refers to to those business models in which the provision of services or the sale of products is carried out from one company or business to another), as well as meetings between professionals, to create commercial relations between companies.

From Quintana Roo, representatives of business groups, presidents of the Hotel Associations of Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, the south of the state, Riviera Maya and Tulum, as well as authorities from the tourism and economic sector, traveled to Germany, who will develop an agenda that It includes meetings with businessmen from all business areas, tour operators and executives from airlines such as the Lufthansa and Cóndor groups.

The ITB will also invite the 47th edition of the Tianguis Turístico México, which will be held in Mexico City, from March 26 to 29, where Quintana Roo participates.
