Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber has taken the MLB lead in runs batted in, putting him on pace for a career-best season.
With 35 games remaining, Schwarber has driven in a league-leading 105 runs. This total has already surpassed his previous single-season high of 104 RBIs, which he set in 2023. His first season with the Phillies in 2022 saw him drive in 94 runs, which at the time eclipsed his prior career-best of 92 with the Chicago Cubs in 2019.
In addition to his RBI prowess, Schwarber is on the verge of setting a new personal home run record. He has hit 43 so far this season, nearing his career-high of 47, also set in 2023.
Schwarber faces tight competition for the RBI crown, with Cal Raleigh (102) and Pete Alonso (100) in close pursuit. To secure the title, he will likely need a strong offensive performance through the final weeks of the season. For context, Matt Olson led the league with 139 RBIs in 2023, while Aaron Judge posted 131 the year before.
