The 2025 Little League World Series is heating up in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, with eight teams remaining in the hunt for the coveted championship title. A new champion is guaranteed this year after the 2024 winner, Lake Mary, Florida, was knocked out in the regional qualifiers.
As the tournament advances, four crucial games are set for Wednesday, which will further shape the winners’ bracket.
Wednesday’s Schedule
- Chinese Taipei 7, Venezuela 3 (Final)
- Connecticut vs. Nevada – 3 p.m. ET
- Aruba vs. Japan – 5 p.m. ET
- South Dakota vs. South Carolina – 7 p.m. ET
Tournament Format and Rules
The Little League World Series features a 20-team field, composed of 10 teams from the United States and 10 international teams. The competition follows a modified double-elimination format, where a team is out of the tournament after its second loss.
This changes for the championship rounds on Saturday, August 23. Both the U.S. Championship and the International Championship will be single-elimination contests. The overall LLWS Championship game is also a winner-take-all final, meaning a team could be eliminated with just one loss at that final stage.
Standard games are six innings. If a game is tied after the sixth, the seventh inning is played normally. From the eighth inning onward, each half-inning begins with a runner on second base.
How to Watch
All games through Friday will be broadcast on ESPN. On Saturday, ABC will air both the U.S. and International championship games. The LLWS Championship Final will also be on ABC on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. The consolation game is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on Sunday and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
