As of 10:45 am Miami time, the three most affected airports were Boston Logan International in Massachusetts, LaGuardia in New York and Newark-Liberty International in New Jersey.
The nor’easter (a term for a storm that moves along the east coast of the US and typically has strong coastal northeasterly winds) is expected to bring heavy snowfall, high winds, and flooding in the northeast, affecting travel and also causing widespread power outages.
Meanwhile, another atmospheric river is impacting California, already ravaged by storms.
By Tuesday morning, more than 30 million people were under flood watch in California and more than 20 million on the East Coast.

Specialists recommend going as quickly as possible to the airline agents’ counter, and preparing to do several things at once while you’re in line.
