Biden enacts transparency law on the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic

The president of the United States, Joe Biden, announced Monday that he enacted a law that allows the declassification of documents on the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic, which appeared in China.

“We need to get to the bottom of the origins of Covid-19,” Biden said in a statement, noting that this includes the link between the pandemic outbreak and a laboratory in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

“By enforcing this legislation, my administration will declassify and share as much information as possible,” without compromising “national security,” he promised.
