Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is being investigated for battery over claims he knocked the hat off a disgruntled gambler’s head during a confrontation, according to a police report obtained by DailyMail.com.Â
As TMZ first reported, Beal was approached by a group of men following the Wizard’s March 21 loss to the Magic at Orlando’s Amway Center. One member of the group allegedly yelled ‘you made me lose $1,300, you f***,’ at Beal.
Beal confronted the fan, calling him ‘disrespectful’ while appearing to knock a hat of one man’s head as the two sides continued to jaw at each other, according to the police report.
‘Keep it a buck,’ Beal said, according to TMZ. ‘I don’t give a f*** about none of your bets or your parlays, bro. That ain’t why I play the game.’
Beal was then ushered into the locker room without further incident. He is now being investigated by the Orlando Police Department (OPD) for battery because his hand allegedly made contact with the gambler’s head when he swatted at the man’s hat.Â

Spokespeople for the OPD and Wizards did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for more information.Â
However, a Magic spokesman did respond to DailyMail.com: ‘We are aware of the situation and OPD (Orlando Police Department) has taken jurisdiction of the alleged incident.’Â
The game was a poor one for Beal, a 29-year-old who has averaged 23.2 points a game for the season. The former Florida star finished with just 16 points on 4-of-15 shooting as the Wizards were outscored by 10 points over his 31 minutes of action.
The game was tight going into the fourth quarter, but Orlando pulled away with a 35-24 run over the final 12 minutes of action.
Beal has not been charged with any crime.
He’s also never been in trouble with the law, outside of a citation over the tint of his vehicle’s windows in 2014. Beal pleaded guilty in the case, according to a LexisNexis search.
Beal is currently in the first year of a five-year, $251 million deal he signed before the season. Â
