Draymond Green faces $5,000 fine for picking up 17th technical after heated altercation with Brandon Ingram and almost picks up another seconds later amid scuffle with Herbert Jones in chippy Warriors win over Pelicans
Draymond Green was involved in everything vs. New Orleans Tuesday night, receiving a technical and flagrant foul, which will earn him a $5,000 fine.
Green picked up his 17th technical foul of the NBA season – which brings about the fiscal punishment – as he softly pushed Brandon Ingram following a hard foul.
The four-time NBA champion was incensed with the call, screaming ‘How?!’ repeatedly, clamoring for an explanation from the officials.
Green initially lowered his shoulder into Ingram as he moved inside the perimeter. Ingram and Green then squared up before the pair lightly touched each other.
It resulted in a technical call, with Green’s shove called a fragrant 1.

Moments later, Green found himself entangled with Pelicans small forward, Herbert Jones.
The sophomore New Orleans man attempted to take a charge as Green went to the basket.
Naturally, Jones fell to the floor before Green lost his balance, tripping over his opponent and onto the hardcourt.
Green’s legs laid on top of Jones for a moment before the ex-Crimson Tide star got up angrily, before the teams engaged in another brief scuffle.
Golden State ultimately got the 120-109 win over its Western Conference rivals, moving them to 40-37.
With just five games remaining on the schedule, the Warriors sit sixth in the West – with the same amount of wins as No. 4 seed, Phoenix.
