(CNN Spanish) — The most recent episode of “Saturday Night Live” had a Latin flavor thanks to its two main guests: the actress of Cuban origin Ana de Armas and the Colombian singer Karol G.
Ana de Armas was the presenter of this Saturday’s chapter. She performed the classic opening monologue and participated in various skits on the show.
In his monologue, De Armas joked about how he learned English in the United States.
“I learned English the way everyone who comes to this country learns: by watching ‘Friends.’ Who would have thought the best English tutor would be Chandler Bing? Look at me now, could I be better at English? ?” Said Ana de Armas to laughter and applause from the audience.
For her part, Karol G was the musical guest of the program this Saturday and her performance consisted of two songs: “WHILE I HEAL FROM THE HEART”, which she sang along with a choir of 14 people; and “TUS GAFITAS”, whose backing band was made up only of women. Both songs were released for the first time on February 24 as part of the release of the album “MAÑANA SE ERÁ BONITO”.
In addition to his performances, Karol G appeared at the end of a sketch of “SNL” where Spanish classes were given in a school.
