Lebron James trolls agitator Dillon Brooks and the Grizzlies after Lakers win: ‘Help the bear’:

Lakers legend Lebron James trolled the Memphis Grizzlies and rival Dillon Brooks following Los Angeles’s series win Friday. 

The Lakers emphatically moved on to the Western Conference semifinals with a 125-85 rout of the Grizzlies on Friday night.

Memphis agitator Brooks had antagonized Lebron throughout the series but the NBA’s leading point scorer got the last word. 

Following the Lakers rout of Memphis, Lebron took to Instagram to take a dig at Brooks and Co. 

‘If you ever see me fighting in the forest with a Grizzly bear, HELP THE BEAR,’ wrote in the caption, next to a photo of him celebrating the dub.

The Lakers legend took to Instagram to take a dig at Brooks and Co. on Saturday 

James seemed to take issue personally with Brooks – who called him ‘old’ following Game 2 of the series and said The King had not gained his respect – confronting him with fans in the stands and media around. 

While he wouldn’t comment on the moment postgame, James he referred to his history as reasoning for not getting too concerned with such gamesmanship.

‘This is not my first rodeo,’ James said postgame. ‘I’ve had this throughout my career with certain individuals. It’s easy. It’s literally easy if you want to…’ 

‘At the end of the day, I think my résumé and what I’ve done for this league speaks for itself,’ James told reporters postgame. 

 ‘I don’t really get caught up in any comments like that. Like I continue to say, at the end of the day, my focus is to my teammates and us trying to figure out a way how we can beat the Memphis Grizzlies, not how I can try to beat an individual on their team.

Brooks was hit with a flagrant 2 and subsequently ejected 17 seconds into the second half after the Memphis agitator struck James in the groin while guarding him near midcourt.

While the top scorer in NBA history rolled on the court in pain, officials tossed Brooks after a brief video review, deeming him guilty. 

With the Lakers’ sellout crowd booing his every move, Brooks had just seven points on 3-for-13 shooting before his ejection.

Brooks’s misery continued throughout the series as he hit a bit of a scoring slump, making just 31.2 percent of his field goals and 23.8 percent of his threes for 10.5 points per game. He also had just 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

And the Grizzlies’ bad boy’s on-court antics could cost him his job in Memphis this summer. 

‘I don’t know if Dillon Brooks is on this team after this series,’ ESPN’s Tim MacMahon said on Briand Windhorst’s podcast. ‘We’ll see if the Grizzlies can comeback and win it.’

Brooks will be a free agent this season and after Memphis failed to find a way to come back, he could be in his final days with the team.
