The Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (sedatu) began the recovery work on the old aerodrome of Tulum, Quintana Rooa 300-hectare space that will be incorporated into the Jaguar Park through reforestation actions.

Román Meyer Falcón, head of the Secretariat, explained that this space functioned as an airstrip that will now be intervened through the Urban Improvement Program (PMU).

For this, it began with the lifting of the asphalt layer and, later, a reforestation process will be carried out in order to protect the flora and fauna of the region.

When carrying out a supervision visit, the secretary explained that the Tulum National Park it was created by decree in the 80s; With the addition of the old aerodrome, the new Parque del Jaguar will be a space of 100,000 hectares.
