Julius Randle’s wife Kendra has fired back at Kenyon Martin for criticizing the New York Knicks star for kissing her after his team were knocked out the NBA playoffs by Miami Heat.
Martin said on the Gil’s Arena podcast that he didn’t know where Randle’s ‘head was at’ for appearing to go over to kiss his wife in the immediate aftermath of his season coming to an end.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: ‘slow news day I guess. Both of us grew up in single parent homes. We never saw our dads respect our mothers.
‘I’m so grateful my kids get to grow up watching their dad be the best father and husband.’
Later, she added, ‘By the way that game was after a win. He would never be in the mood to kiss or even talk after a loss lol. But talk about real issues. Not a husband and father loving his family.’

Randle & the Knicks fell to the Heat in Game 6 Friday night, getting bounced from the playoffs
Martin questioned Randle’s mentality on the podcast, suggesting that the All-Star should have been focused on celebrating with his teammates.
‘We just got done playing a hard fought game in a playoff series and the first thing [Randle does] is you go kiss his wife. That’s the first thing you do?,’ Martin asked.
‘Where is your mind at? The very first thing he did, dawg, when the game was over.
‘I am sitting there watching the game with my wife. I’m like, “I love you to death, but ain’t no way in that incident. I’m gonna be with my guys. We just got done winning, I’m not even thinking about you.”‘
Randle’s team was eventually eliminated from the playoffs in Game 6 on Friday night at the hands of the Miami Heat – who moved on to the Eastern Conference Finals.
