Rapper Bricc Baby has implored Ja Morant to put the firearms away after the he was once more seen holding what looked to be a hand gun on an Instagram Live stream.Â
Video emerged Sunday morning of the Memphis Grizzlies superstar ostensibly holding a pistol while in the car with a friend who was videoing the pair.Â
The LA rapper was one of many criticizing Morant – two months on from a similar moment in a Denver strip club.Â
Resultantly, the Grizzlies have indefinitely suspended star Ja Morant ‘from all team activities.’ Morant was seen on Instagram Live in the drivers seat of a car holding a pistol while singing along to the song ‘1.5’ by rapper YoungBoy NBA.
The 23-year-old has been accused of throwing up Crip signs in celebration during NBA games. Bricc Baby broached the issue in a clip posted to Twitter Sunday afternoon.

‘N*** you ain’t even from this s***. You ain’t even from this s***, no way, shape or form,’ Baby said.Â
‘C’mon let’s be real, cuh. Start being real with yourself. You’re a basketball player. If you want to step in this field, we could show you a lot about this s***.
‘Matter of fact, set up a meeting for me and Ja Morant, since he want to be a Crip. I bet you he don’t never show up.Â
‘You claim you a part of “the culture” man, be the positive side of “the culture” like you been. You don’t got no felonies, you didn’t grow up f***** s*** up.
‘Our regular, everyday life, you’re going to be scared of… you’re not going to want be a part of that. So, stop acting like that’s what you want to be a part of.’
Bricc Baby later clarified his position in a video shared by No Jumper.
Back in March, Morant appeared to hold up a gun in an Instagram Live video at a Denver club
‘IÂ just was pleading with you to stop gang banging, cuh. You is one in a million. You made it out, even if you don’t come from whatever, you made it against all the s*** against black people.Â
‘Another pistol? Not another pistol, cuh. Come to LA and come holla at me. No beefin’, no nothing. I want to have a sit-down with Ja Morant. I want Ja Morant to thug with us for a week.
Those guns ain’t that important, cuh… you can’t get geeked off music like that.’
NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday morning on ESPN that Morant is likely to receive ‘a lengthy, significant suspension’ after footage emerged of the incident.Â
Back in March, Morant was seen in a Denver strip club holding a gun on an Instagram video that sparked a police and league investigation. Eventually, he was suspended for eight games by the NBA.
It is unclear if this incident will result in any criminal charges or an investigation for Morant’s behavior – or if the NBA will choose to take further action.Â
In a statement to DailyMail.com, the NBA says, ‘We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information.’
Morant’s incident from back in March showed him dancing topless in a strip club before lifting a gun to the side of his head. Hours after the post, it was revealed that the incident was being investigated by the NBA, and The Athletic’s Shams Charania then reported that Morant had been banned for ‘at least two games’ by the Grizzlies while the investigation into the incident continues.
The former No. 2 overall pick returned to the NBA late in the season after an eight-game ban
Morant then issued a statement taking responsibility for his actions and explaining he would be taking time away from the game to work on his well-being.Â
‘I take full responsibility for my actions last night,’ he said. ‘I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down.
‘I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.’Â
An investigation by the Glendale, Colorado police resulted in no criminal charges and found no wrongdoing.Â
After Morant took that time away – including a short stay at a Florida treatment center – he met with NBA commissioner Adam Silver in New York. There, he was informed that he would be suspended for eight games – including time already served.Â
Following the Grizzlies playoff elimination, Morant told reporters, ‘I’ve just got to be better with my decision-making. That’s pretty much it. Off-the-court issues affected us as an organization pretty much. Just [need] more discipline.’Â
