Tom Brady’s congratulated Novak Djokovic following the world No. 1’s 23rd Grand Slam title win at The French Open, taking to social media to gush over post-match celebrations that he was a part of.
On Sunday, Brady, 45, attended the Serbian superstar’s three-set win against Caspar Ruud in the tournament’s final, before later sharing a cheery message on Instagram.
‘Congratulations my friend,’ the seven-time Super Bowl champ’ shared alongside a picture of the Djokovic clan celebrating at Roland Garros.
‘Best part was seeing up how much your family loves you and supports you!’
Brady sat next to Djokovic’s wife of nine years, Jelena, for the championship match in the stands of Phillippe-Chartier court.

Djokovic and Jelena have been married since 2014 and share two children together, a boy, Stefan, who’s named after the tennis player’s father, and Tara.
Brady’s also in France to watch the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race, which NBA star LeBron James attended. The Lakers forward even showed off his linguistic skills by reading the signal for drivers to start.
Brady also showed that he’s still got his quarterback abilities on the same day of the French Open final, by accepting a challenge from American YouTuber MrBeast.
In a clip shared by the NFL, Brady attempted to knock one of MrBeast’s drones down into the sea from the deck of the yacht. He warmed up his winning throwing arm before his daughter Vivian, 10, jokingly told him, ‘Dad, you’re like going to miss.’
The NFL icon laughed, admitting he probably would but joked that if he did hit the drone on the first try then ‘maybe I should come out of retirement.’ And of course, Brady did just that.

For his next trick, Brady attempted to complete a pass to a man racing towards the yacht on a jet ski. Once again, Brady was on target but his ‘wide receiver’ wasn’t up NFL standards, dropping the ball into the water.
The retired Brady, who’s now a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, is widely viewed as the NFL’s ‘Greatest Of All Time’ – or ‘GOAT,’ for short – and there has been a debate in the tennis world for quite some time over which among Djokovic, Nadal or Federer deserves that sobriquet.
If the barometer is Grand Slam championships, no one can argue against Djokovic’s status at the moment.
‘I leave those kind of discussions of ‘who is the greatest?’ to someone else. I have, of course, huge faith and confidence and belief (in) myself and for everything that I am and who I am and what I am capable of doing,’ Djokovic said at his news conference, the Coupes des Mousquetaires at arm’s length on Sunday.
‘So this trophy obviously is another confirmation of the quality of tennis that I’m still able to produce, I feel.’
