Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite convicted of helping Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse and traffic underage girls, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. In 2021, a New York federal jury found her guilty on five charges, including sex trafficking of a minor and conspiracy.
Maxwell has made several attempts to overturn her conviction, most recently petitioning the Supreme Court to hear her appeal.
These developments follow a recent prison interview Maxwell had with Todd Blanche, an attorney for former President Donald Trump.
Shortly after the interview, Maxwell was transferred to a lower-security federal prison camp in Texas. While the official reasons for the transfer have not been disclosed, Maxwell has previously sought moves to less restrictive facilities.
