Russell Westbrook is staying where he ended last season, agreeing to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers – after starting the last 21 games for them in the regular season and their five playoff games.
The second year is at Westbrook´s option, according to Associated Press while ESPN reported the deal was worth $8million.
Westbrook is a two-time NBA champion and a nine-time All Star. He joined the Clippers after leaving the Lakers last year.

‘One thing I do tell you is that I love it here,’ he said. ‘I love the people, just the fans overall embracing not just me but my family and close friends.
‘I know, end of the year, a lot of things have happened, but I’m grateful. I definitely love being here.’
It comes as the Clippers acquired Houston Rockets forward K.J. Martin for two future second round picks.
His father, Kenyon Martin, also played for the Clippers in his own NBA career.
