Brandon Miller had more fouls than points in a bad second outing for the Charlotte Hornets in the Summer League on Wednesday night.
Miller scored just six points but fouled eight times in the 98-83 loss to Golden State Warriors, playing for 28 minutes in the game.
It comes just two days before Miller, picked second in the NBA Draft, will play against first pick Victor Wembanyama when he makes his San Antonio Spurs debut on Friday.
Miller showed flashes of brilliance with 18 points in his first game on Monday night against a Wembanyama-less Spurs but his team still lost 98-77.
The 20-year-old Miller was not wearing the pink sneakers that caught the eye on Monday, when he admitted nerves played a part in an inconsistent start.

‘We got the jitters out, so we’re going to be good,’ Miller said after Monday’s game. ‘I’m a little frustrated because I don’t like to lose, but I had fun out there.
‘Seeing a different environment from the college experience was fun. I think I was relaxed as far as emotions.
Just let the game come to me, make all the right plays and just be there for my teammates.’
Miller as a controversial pick for the Hornets because of his alleged role in a murder in Tuscaloosa earlier this year.
Tuscaloosa police testified that Miller delivered a handgun to teammate Darius Miles, which was ultimately used by another man, Michael Lynn Davis, to kill the woman.
While Miles and Davis remain in jail awaiting trail on capital murder charges, Miller has not been arrested in the case. His attorney says he never handled the firearm and did not have any idea that the shooting would take place.
Miller’s coach, Nate Oats, said it was a case of ‘wrong spot, wrong time.’
