Michael Jordan is terrified of snakes, his son Marcus has revealed on his podcast with girlfriend Larsa Pippen.
Speaking on ‘Separation Anxiety’, Jordan spilt the beans and revealed a hilarious trick he once played on the man widely considered to be the best ever player in the history of the NBA.
‘He is terrified of snakes,’ Jordan said. ‘My dad is terrified of snakes. Yeah, literally.
‘There is this one time me and my brother – we must have been about 12 and 14 – and we had got a bunch of rubber snakes and threw them in my dad’s room, on top of the bed.
‘I will never forget when he got home – we were grounded. I think he was caught off guard and he realized they weren’t real after a while.
Marcus Jordan, 32, has told girlfriend Larsa Pippen, 49, that Michael Jordan is scared of snakes
Marcus even told a story about pranking his famous father when he was a child
Jordan, 60, recently sold his stake in the Charlotte Hornets for a stunning $3billion
Larsa recently said that she thinks Michael might not attend a wedding with her and Marcus
‘He was running round the house trying to find out who pranked him. At first he thought they were real. At first he was like “what the” and then he realized it was a prank.’
Larsa and Marcus’s relationship has been a cause for controversy given she used to be married to Michael’s Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen.
Michael was recently on vacation in France when paparazzi asked him if he approved of his son’s relationship with Larsa and he shook his head and said no.
There has been widespread speculation that the couple could soon be about to get engaged, which they addressed last week on the show ‘Venues, Rings and Other Things’.
Pippen said of the rumors: ‘I had 100 calls and text messages – people congratulating us and I was like, I’m so excited. But no, we are not engaged.’
She then spoke about whether the ultimate NBA legend Michael would be there if a wedding ever happened and was featured on a reality TV show.
‘Do you think you would have a wedding on a reality show? I don’t think your parents would come,’ she said to Marcus.
Jordan is a private man nowadays and doesn’t court the limelight. He recently sold his stake in the Charlotte Hornets NBA team for $3billion and has an estimated worth of $3.5bn.
According to Bloomberg, it makes the 60-year-old the wealthiest basketball player in the history of the NBA.
