Erling Haaland scored two goals to lead Manchester City, the defending champion, to advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League with two matches remaining in the group stage after a 3-0 victory over its guest, Young Boys of Switzerland, on Tuesday.

Young Boys, who completed the match with ten men after Sandro Lober was sent off in the 53rd minute, are in fourth place with one point.
City started the match with strength and pressure, and Haaland scored from a penalty kick in the 23rd minute after a violation by Loeb on Matthews Nunez inside the penalty area. The Norwegian scoring machine shot powerfully against goalkeeper Anthony Racioppi.

Milan takes revenge on Saint-Germain
Italian Milan took revenge for its 3-0 loss to French club Paris Saint-Germain two weeks ago in Paris, beating them 2-1 on Tuesday at San Siro Stadium in the fourth round of the Champions League Group Six competitions.
With this result, the competition in the group of death heated up, as Saint-Germain gave up first place to the German Borussia Dortmund, which has 7 points after beating Newcastle 2-0 today as well, while the French team has 6 points, compared to 5 for Milan and 4 for Newcastle.

The French capital team opened the scoring when its Brazilian captain Marquinhos headed the ball from a corner kick raised by Ousmane Dembélé and turned it toward the second post, where Slovenian defender Milan Skriniar was lurking to follow it with his head into the net in the 9th minute.
However, Saint-Germain’s joy did not last long, as a result of a quick attack launched by the Portuguese Rafael Leao, who passed a forward ball towards the Frenchman Olivier Giroud. The latter penetrated into the area and launched it in a fast creep, which was blocked by Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma without catching it, so it was prepared again in front of Leao, who shot. Using an acrobatics method, he scored the equalizer in the 12th minute.

The goal is Milan’s first in the continental competition this season after being content with two goalless draws with Newcastle and Dortmund before falling to Saint-Germain in the first leg.
In the second half, Giroud succeeded in giving Milan the lead by taking advantage of a perfect cross pass from his French teammate Theo Hernandez to head it into the net in the 51st minute.
Giroud raised his tally of goals during his career with the clubs he defended and his country’s national team to 340 goals.

Theo Hernandez fired a powerful shot with his left hand from a direct free kick from 30 meters, and Donnarumma flew in and blocked it brilliantly in the 62nd minute.
Saint-Germain threw all its weight to equalize, and its Spanish coach, Luis Enrique, involved more than one attacking card in the last twenty minutes without changing the result.
