PSV Eindhoven revived its hopes in the tournament after achieving its first victory after two draws and one defeat, and defeated France’s Lens with a clean goal scored by Luuk de Jong in the 12th minute.
Lance ended the match with ten players, as Morgan Guilfaugi was expelled from the team in the final seconds for receiving a second warning.
PSV’s tally rose to five points in third place on goal difference only behind second-placed Lens.
