Almost 220 days have passed since the Sudan war. The death toll among civilians is about 300 thousand dead, millions of displaced people inside and outside Sudan, dozens of government facilities, factories, research centers, universities and hospitals have been damaged to varying degrees, and the rope on the tractor, which is a long, mysterious rope that wraps around the necks of the Sudanese, without… Does any of them – even the warring parties – know when this fight will end, or who is investing in it, and why?
Deadly identities
No one wants war, of course. It is one of the most dangerous existential threats, although it is sometimes necessary – especially when it becomes self-defense – but it is also an epidemic that must be eradicated, in the words of the British writer Herbert Wells: “If we do not eliminate war, it will eliminate us.” .
Perhaps the most dangerous thing about this war is that it took everyone by surprise, and now its motives, or necessarily the parties behind it, and the hidden reasons behind the fighting, are beginning to be revealed, after it reached its climax, and the Sudanese people were preparing for a scenario of division, instead of annihilation, as happened in the south. Sudan, when the rebellion broke out in the second half of the last century, at the hands of “Ananya”; That is, “snake poison.” Then the Popular Movement took over the task, which ended with the separation of South Sudan on July 9, 2011, and no one knew which of the rest of the regions would come in line, despite the warnings issued by experts and researchers a long time ago about the danger of the policies. The Western plan aims to divide Sudan into four countries: South Sudan, Greater Darfur, the Beja state in the east, and finally the state of Northern Sudan, without the need to underestimate the conspiracy theory, after the partition plan that moved from papers to reality was actually activated, according to Bernard’s project. Lewis, an American historian and researcher, is an orientalist of Jewish origins who is considered the godfather of the project to divide the Middle East and destroy Arab and Islamic culture.
The conspiracy against Darfur
Perhaps the disturbing question was: Which regions will be annexed to South Sudan? It is a question that requires searching for what is behind this war and gathering justifications for it, all of which are weak justifications, especially those that the Rapid Support suggests, such as the search for democracy and the elimination of the state of 1956, the date of Sudan’s independence, which to them means the north’s dominance of government since that date, despite It is naive propaganda; Because the one who proposed the independence from within Parliament was the representative from the Nyala constituency, Abdul Rahman Dabka, and after that Darfur was not absent from participating in the administration of the country for seven decades.
Now, according to developments on the ground – and specifically, what is happening in Darfur – there are indicators that fuel the partition project, including the withdrawal of the Sudanese army from the western garrisons in El Geneina, Nyala, and El Daein, leaving Darfur to the Rapid Support Forces to do whatever they want with it, leaving only El Fasher the capital of North Darfur State, which The armed movements that signed the Juba Peace Agreement are holed up in it, by which I mean: the Justice and Equality Movement led by Jibril Ibrahim, and the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Minni Arko Minawi, the governor of the Darfur region, along with the movement of Commander Mustafa Tambour, and all of them decided to leave neutrality and fight alongside the Sudanese army. In defense of the unity of Sudan, which is almost the position that slowed down the partition project, after El-Fasher stood against it. If the Rapid Support is unable to control El-Fasher, the most important city in Darfur, the party that forced the Rapid Support will need to calm the Khartoum front and focus on Darfur, to review its military plans after fanning the flames of deadly identities, especially since the ethnic complexities in western Sudan make it difficult to twist the strand of that separatist project, and necessarily Darfur, which is rich in gold and uranium – which is precisely the motivation for foreign interventions – they will not be able to twist it easily, Due to the large number of movements, armed armies, and tribes seeking glory.
From here comes the danger to Sudan
From here comes the danger to the unified Sudanese state, which today is in dire need of the efforts of all its members, sensing the dangers, eliminating the separatist tendency that has begun to take an upward trend, putting aside foreign interference and defending national sovereignty, and above all focusing on internal initiatives and solutions, and thus The partition plot could be blocked.
As for betting on the foreigner, who only cares about his interests, and leaving the political process moving in the lobbies of hotels in Nairobi and Addis Ababa, with its character that is based on excluding certain parties, and trying to demonize and isolate the Islamic movement, or eliminate it, which is more established and popular, and calling them remnants, it will not bring results. That stability. The challenge now is greater than self-fortunes and political score-settling. What is required of everyone, politicians and soldiers, is to arm themselves with insightful national will, not blind will, as the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer described it, and to keep in mind the hopes and sacrifices of their people, a people – as described by the novelist Tayeb Salih – “It is simple people who do not want power on earth or corruption. They work day and night for the sake of halal food and offer it to their children and families willingly. These good people pay the price for the foolishness of politicians, the ambitions of adults, and all of their struggles for the sake of power and glory. The civil war crushes them every day with hunger. Displacement, diseases, and epidemics. There are few among this elite like Hamad Wad Halima in the story of (Maryud), when his soul called him to glory, he rebuked it.
It is also important not to ignore the effects of the war on humanity, which is now at its end, and the necessity of mobilizing international support for the reconstruction of Sudan, compensating those affected, returning life to normal, and ensuring the safety of everyone, so that the passenger can travel from Khartoum to El Geneina, in the far west of Darfur, with nothing but fear. Thirst and stubborn desert winds.
