Moroccan star Hakim Ziyech led Turkish Galatasaray to overturn a two-goal deficit and snatch a draw against its English guest, Manchester United, 3-3 on Wednesday, in the fifth round of the first group of the European Champions League.
Manchester United’s chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League are subject to careful calculations and are not controlled by anyone alone, as they remain at the bottom of the group standings with 4 points, equally with Danish Copenhagen, which will later face Bayern Munich (12 points), knowing that the latter has already secured the top spot in the group. And qualified for the playoffs.
On the other hand, Galatasaray occupies second place with 5 points and kept its chances high before facing Copenhagen in the last round.
United have one match remaining against Bayern in the continental competition, and will be required to win at Old Trafford to maintain any hopes of qualifying.

United’s goals were scored by Argentine Alejandro Garnacho in the 11th minute, Portuguese Bruno Fernandes (18) and Scot Scott McTominay (55).

While Ziyech scored two goals for the Turkish team in the 29th and 62nd minutes, and Turkish Kerem Akturkoglu added the third (71st).

Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag’s team showed its strong desire to win early and make up for its successive setbacks in the Champions League, where it achieved one win out of 4 matches and fell in the previous round to Copenhagen 4-3, but it clashed with a strong performance by the Turkish team armed with its home stadium and its large fans.
