On the 58th day of the Israeli war on Gaza, the occupation army continued its aggression against various areas of the Gaza Strip and committed new massacres in Jabalia, Deir al-Balah, Rafah, and Sheikh Radwan, which led to hundreds of martyrs and wounded.
On the Lebanese front, the occupation army bombed sites in southern Lebanon with artillery, and admitted wounding 4 soldiers whose vehicle was targeted in Beit Hillel in the Upper Galilee.
The Houthis also announced that their forces stopped navigation in front of Israeli ships in the Red Sea in support of the Palestinian people, and that they would resume targeting Israel.
Occupation massacres
Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that dozens of martyrs and wounded were killed as a result of the occupation aircraft bombing a residential square in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and a residential square in the Al-Geneina neighborhood in Rafah.
The Israeli government spokesman said that the military operation is now focused on Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip also announced that Israel committed a new massacre in the Jabalia camp, which led to the death of dozens.
The medical services at the Ministry of the Interior in the Gaza Strip told Al Jazeera that 150 martyrs arrived at the Baptist Hospital in the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City since dawn on Sunday.
Israeli Army Radio said that its forces began a ground operation north of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli war has risen to 15,523, and the number of injured has reached 41,316, according to what was announced by the spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra.
Resistance operations
For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that its fighters blew up a booby-trapped tunnel with Israeli force in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, then targeted the rescue forces with mortar shells.
The Al-Qassam Brigades also announced that its fighters detonated a minefield with an Israeli force of 8 soldiers northeast of Khan Yunis (southern Gaza Strip), and killed those who remained alive from point zero.
The Brigades added that they targeted an Israeli tank and a troop carrier north of the city of Khan Yunis with “Al-Yassin 105” shells, and blew up an Israeli tank penetrating near the Hajjaj Mosque in the Al-Mughraqa area, south of Gaza City, with an explosive device.
The Al-Qassam Brigades also said that it targeted an Israeli special force inside a building in Beit Hanoun with a TBG shell and killed a number of its soldiers.
It announced that it bombed Ashkelon with a batch of missiles “in response to the Zionist massacres against civilians.”
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – announced that its fighters clashed with an Israeli foot force in the Abu Haddaf area northeast of Khan Yunis and bombarded them with mortar shells and RPGs.
It also announced that it bombed the industrial zone in Ashkelon with a concentrated missile salvo, and also targeted the Sufa and Nir Ishaq settlements in the Gaza Strip.
The political aspect
Politically, US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that there are currently no official negotiations between the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Israel, because the movement has not provided another list of women and children who can be released from the Gaza Strip.
For his part, Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that the reports of the ongoing and violent bombing of Gaza are horrific, and a ceasefire must be reached now. He indicated that these conditions are completely inappropriate, and unimaginable, for providing health care.
On the other hand, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said that serious violations of international law must be investigated and those responsible must be held accountable, noting that the brutal resumption of hostilities in Gaza confirms the need to end the violence and find a political solution.
For his part, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani renewed his expression of strong condemnation of the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces, and renewed his demand for an immediate, comprehensive and impartial international investigation into these crimes.
Sheikh Mohammed said that Qatar had made great efforts in mediation to stop what he described as a war of revenge, stressing that it would continue its efforts with the active countries to resume the truce, to reach a permanent ceasefire.
West Bank
In parallel with the intensified raids on the Gaza Strip, the West Bank is witnessing a wave of tension and field confrontations between Palestinians and the Israeli army.
Four Palestinians were martyred by fire from the occupation forces and extremist settlers in various areas of the occupied West Bank during the past 24 hours, while the Israeli army stormed Jenin, Qalqilya and Hebron and arrested dozens of Palestinians.
The Israeli occupation forces stormed in large numbers the city of Qalqilya (western West Bank), amid clashes with Palestinian youth, and one of the youth was injured by Israeli occupation bullets.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced that the Israeli occupation arrested 60 Palestinians, including 5 girls and former prisoners, in various parts of the West Bank.
Lebanese Front
On the Lebanese front, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that an Israeli raid targeted a car between the towns of Hula and Shaqra in southern Lebanon.
An Israeli military spokesman admitted that 4 soldiers were injured by fragments of an anti-armor shell that targeted their vehicle in Beit Hillel in the Upper Galilee.
Lebanese Hezbollah also announced that it targeted the Israeli sites of Zabdin, radar, and flag ducts in Shebaa Farms, and achieved direct hits.
The Houthis
Meanwhile, the military spokesman for the Ansar Allah Houthi group said that their forces stopped navigation in front of Israeli ships in support of the Palestinian people, and that they would resume “targeting the Israeli occupation entity with painful and crushing strikes.”
Yemeni shipping sources reported that one of two ships believed to be Israeli was hit in an attack launched by the Houthi group in the Red Sea.
On the other hand, a Pentagon official told Al Jazeera that they are aware of reports of attacks on ships in the Red Sea, adding that missiles and drones were launched from Yemen towards the US destroyer Carney and commercial ships in the Red Sea.
