Tottenham’s English coach, Ange Postecoglou, said that he does not care about the criticism and sarcastic remarks made by critics after the team wasted many points recently, and that he prefers to focus on his work.
The Australian coach explained to reporters yesterday, Friday, “What I need to know is that this club has not won any title in 15 years. This is all I need to know. This is the reality of the situation and we cannot ignore that.”
Tottenham have not won any major title since winning the League Cup in the 2007-2008 season.

Postecoglou added, “As is the case in most organizations, you have to learn from past mistakes and you have to come up with a plan. Whatever descriptions others give, it will not help you.”
He continued, “If you want to achieve success, you must have a clear idea of how to deal with the situation and stick to it.”

Postecoglou’s words in the press conference after the 2-1 defeat to West Ham sparked a slight tinge of frustration, but he nonetheless committed to shifting the team’s focus to what lies ahead.
Tottenham continued their poor form, but that did not discourage Ange Postecoglou.
After another loss, Tottenham have only managed one point from their past five matches, but Postecoglou and his teammates are already thinking about the next match.
Tottenham lost the last 3 matches they played at home, and tomorrow, Sunday, they will host Newcastle United.
“There is only one way to change our circumstances, and that is to come here on Sunday and perform, not just play good football but go out there and show some belief in ourselves as a team,” the Australian coach said.

For a short period, the London club occupied the top spot in the English Premier League when it won 8 of the first 10 matches it played this season, but it fell to fifth place after a winless march that lasted 5 consecutive matches.
Postecoglou – who joined Tottenham last June – based on a 4-year contract, explained that he is still in the early stages of implementing his plan at the club.

Postecoglou went on to say, “As for the players, I allow them to have the space they want. I tell them clearly about my opinions and ideas, and after that, implementation and acceptance depend on them.”
Tottenham remains in fifth place with 27 points, after achieving one point in the last 5 matches, despite leading in each of them 1-0.
