Tweeters in the Arab world mocked the interaction of Israeli accounts with a video of young Omanis cleaning a “falaj” of sediments, thinking that it A resistance tunnel in Gaza.
The story began when an Omani photographer and social activist named “Hussein Al-Rasbi” posted a video on his account on the “TikTok” platform last month of a group of young men cleaning one of the “flaj” from sediments.
Aflaj is an ancient irrigation system used in Oman. It is a water canal that originates from a gap in a high place in a rocky layer, from which the canal extends as far as arable land.
The video published by the young Omani man reached 7 million views, and more than 5 thousand comments, and here was the surprise. Among the comments were Israeli accounts that accessed the clip and began commenting on it, thinking that he was in Gaza, and that the occupation army had begun to activate its plan to flood the Palestinian resistance tunnels in sector.
The Israeli comments sparked a state of ridicule among social media pioneers in the Arab world. Those who followed Hussein Al-Rasbi’s account said that the Israelis have tunnel syndrome, and any holes they see they think are from Gaza’s tunnels. Some of them commented by saying, “The Israeli comments indicate that they are trying to search for any victory in Gaza even if it was a lie.
They have spending syndrome
Any hole they see, they imagine the tunnels of Gaza pride.

They dream of any victory in order to be happy, even if it is a lie 🤷🏻♂️

After the uproar caused by the interactions over the clip, Hussein Al-Rasbi came out with a video in which he said that the image had spread widely on social media platforms. He added that the clip had caused a major crisis for the group, as he put it.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the American Wall Street Journal quoted American officials as saying that Israel had begun pumping seawater into Hamas’ tunnels in Gaza, and that the process would likely take weeks.
