The Spanish Football Federation and La Liga agreed on Tuesday to begin publishing photos and audio recordings of conversations that occur during play review between pitch officials and video assistant referees (VAR).
The Spanish Federation officially announced, through its official channels, that it will begin implementing the decision starting from the 10th of next January, in the Spanish Super Cup, while in the Spanish League, it will start from the 20th round.
Conversations will only be published when the field screenshot is reviewed.

The Spanish Federation explained that by broadcasting images and audio recordings, “the fans’ experience will be improved and this will enhance a greater understanding of the referee’s decisions by a part of the viewers.”
This joint step between the Spanish Federation and the Technical Committee of Referees in the Spanish League aims to reach the maximum possible transparency.
Many La Liga matches this season witnessed many controversial refereeing decisions, especially in the matches between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
