Al Jazeera Media Institute has launched its list of training courses for the year 2024, which begins next January until the end of the year and includes (202) training courses.
Director of the Al Jazeera Media Institute, Iman Al Ameri, said: We offer in our list of courses for the year 2024 a variety of specialized media and non-media courses designed according to professional standards, which came to meet the aspirations of the public and develop and improve the skills of amateurs and professionals alike.
Iman Al-Amiri added, “In the 2024 course schedule, we reflected the institute’s vision and strategy in providing professional training with the latest modern methods, and knocking on the doors of knowledge and creativity. We presented 132 specialized media titles, including 48 new workshops and courses, in which a committee charged with preparing this year’s schedule was relied upon, in addition to analyzing market needs.” The public was also included in opinion polls via the institute’s official digital communication platforms, to ensure that the public’s expectations and needs are met.”
The Director of the Institute indicated the creation of 3 new categories within the 14 specialized media categories provided by the Institute. They are: a visual creative skills category, a mobile storytelling category, and an artificial intelligence category.
The rest of the titles were developed to suit the latest update of the course content so that they became more compatible with the ever-changing modern journalistic and technological developments, according to Iman. They are: the audiovisual journalism category, the visual creative skills category, the artistic operation category, the visual language design and montage category, the digital skills category, and the Photography and creativity skills, media skills category, communication art category, professional diplomas category, future media category, training workshops category, and finally the distance courses category.
She explained that this year’s schedule allocated a space for artificial intelligence, out of the Institute’s awareness of the importance of this advanced field and its impact on journalistic work, and courses were allocated to provide trainees with a deeper understanding of this science, to enhance the culture of effectively employing artificial intelligence in the journalistic field, in addition to creating opportunities to acquire the necessary skills and experience, To actively participate in the future of technology.
She said, “We have included 4 new workshops and 44 new training courses as well, including: an introduction to artificial intelligence workshop, an artificial intelligence workshop in newsrooms, an artificial intelligence ethics workshop, as well as a press conference management workshop.”
As for the course titles: Among them – according to the director of the institute -: “The course on tools for producing content through artificial intelligence, the course on artificial intelligence in data journalism, the course on copyright in digital media, the creative management course, the media presence course, the skills for dealing with media at the advanced level, and the podcast course.” for young people, and many other important titles.”
Iman stressed that the courses listed for the year 2024 will meet the aspirations of the public and give them the opportunity to develop their skills effectively.
