Israeli media revealed that the occupation army decided to withdraw the Golani Brigade from the Gaza Strip after 60 days of fighting in which it suffered heavy losses, while Israeli Channel 13 reported that the brigade’s soldiers left Gaza to reorganize their ranks.
Military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi said that the Golani Brigade is a special organization, and it has 8 battalions, 4 tank battalions, 2 infantry battalions, a paratrooper battalion, an artillery battalion, and weapons support, supply and maintenance operations.
According to military rules, removing a military unit from combat means that it has lost 40% of its human combat capabilities and equipment, according to Al-Duwairi.
The military expert confirmed that the withdrawal of the Golani Brigade proves the truth of what the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades announced about the destruction of a large number of occupation army vehicles.
Al-Duwairi revealed that Golani’s departure from work is an indication of the nature of the battle, and the effectiveness of the Qassam forces and the resistance in managing their battle 53 days after the ground battle.
Al-Duwairi explained that the Golani Brigade was the spearhead of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and that it endured the major shocks in the battle, and this indicates the intensity of the battles and the size of the losses.
He pointed out that the Golani Brigade was founded in 1948 and derived its name from Galilee, and it participated in the 1948 war before establishing the occupation army.
He expected that Golani’s departure would affect the morale of the occupation army, and he expected other brigades to leave the battle.
Regarding what Israeli Channel 13 said about the reorganization of the Golani ranks, Al-Duwairi said that this action is called rebuilding the combat readiness of this brigade, whether in the dimension of mechanisms and equipment or the human dimension, but this requires time, adding that this may lead to a reduction in its size and its combat capabilities becoming less. .
