The Golani Brigade is affiliated with the 36th Division of the army, and is linked to the Northern Command. It is the first and only brigade that has continued its work since the founding of the Israeli army. The brigade is divided into 4 battalions: “Habokim Harashon,” “Barak,” “Gideon,” and “Reconnaissance.” .
“Golani” participated in the 1948 Nakba, and committed massacres there. He also participated in all the military wars launched by Israel against the Arab countries and the Palestinians. He also participated in all the wars launched by the army against Gaza, the last of which was the “Iron Swords” war in 2023, from which he withdrew. The brigade was defeated after 60 days of fighting, during which it suffered heavy losses.
