Israeli occupation forces stormed Tulkarm BWest Bank It besieged the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, while yesterday’s clashes on Monday witnessed the injury of a number of Palestinians by occupation bullets and settler attacks.
Late Monday evening and early Tuesday, Israeli forces, supported by bulldozers, stormed the city of Tulkarm and besieged the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, in clashes with Palestinian militants.
Activists circulated video clips of military vehicles entering the city accompanied by a bulldozer, while sounds of gunfire were heard.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported renewed clashes in the Al-Masakh neighborhood axis in Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm. He said that successive explosions were heard in the vicinity of the camp, and that the Israeli occupation army asked ambulances to evacuate its vicinity.
The occupation forces began to storm the city of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank from its western axis, besieged Nour Shams camp and stationed at its main entrances.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent also reported that the occupation forces stormed the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, and raided a store in the industrial zone between Ramallah and Beitunia.
Injuries and assaults
For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews transferred a 43-year-old woman to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus (north), yesterday, Monday, after the Israeli army attacked her, in the village of Burqa, west of Nablus.
The Israeli army stormed the town of Burqa and imposed a curfew there, amid searches and arrests.
The Red Crescent added that its crews also dealt with the injury of a young man (31 years old) who “was assaulted by settlers during their attack on the Deir Sharaf roundabout (northwest of Nablus), and he was transferred to the hospital.”
Also in the northern West Bank, the association said that during confrontations in the village of Attil, northeast of Tulkarm, its crews dealt with “a bullet shrapnel injury to the leg and he was taken to the hospital in Tulkarm.”
In the southern West Bank, the association said that its crews “dealt with a case of attack by the occupation army at the Container checkpoint (east of Jerusalem), and the injured person was transferred to the hospital.”
Arrests
For its part, the Palestinian News Agency “Wafa” said that two citizens were injured after being assaulted by settlers in the village of Deir Istiya, Salfit district (north).
She added, “A group of colonialists attacked citizens Hassan Youssef Salman and Saeed Hassan Al-Qadi (…) and injured them with bruises and fractures.”
In Jenin, the agency reported that a young man was injured by Israeli army bullets in the hand and was taken to hospital in the town of Silat al-Dhahr, west of the city.
The agency reported that the Israeli army arrested 17 workers and merchants and detained them last night at the Barta’a military checkpoint, south of Jenin Governorate.
She added, “After being interrogated, today they were transferred to Salem (military) camp and then to detention in Huwara camp, south of Nablus.”
