Yesterday, US President Joe Biden and his wife expressed their deep sadness over the death of 70-year-old American Judith Winston Hagay on October 7, and accuses the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, without any evidence, of killing her. Then Vice President Kamala Harris followed suit by expressing the same sentiments and directing the same accusations against the movement.
The racist American politician of Indian origin, Nikki Haley, joined them, and concluded her statement by demanding that everyone in Gaza be destroyed.
Political opportunism
It is nice for the president and the rest of the American politicians to express their human feelings about the killing of a peaceful elderly woman, regardless of her color, gender, nationality, or religion. This is the natural behavior of any civilized human being, who respects human values and the systems and laws that humanity agreed upon that it developed after two devastating world wars. : (first and second).
But the fundamental question here is: Are these feelings – expressed by the president and his deputy – real and humane? Or are they statements of opportunistic political use of a humanitarian situation, within the framework of a hectic election campaign? If these feelings are real in their human dimension, how can the president and his vice president express these sublime human feelings for killing an American woman, and not speak a word about the thousands of children and women who were deliberately killed by the extremist Zionist government?!
Until this moment, the Zionist war government has killed more than 25,000 Palestinian citizens, more than 70% of whom are children and women. It has even killed children, women, displaced men, patients, health personnel, even infants in incubators, deliberately and live in hospitals. With fabricated pretexts, none of which were proven true, and even failed to provide any evidence for that, despite its destruction of hospitals and its complete control over them.
Every day – during the 84 days of fascist aggression against our people – we can recall dozens of horrific stories of the killing of children, women and men, and these are not numbers, but people with their own lives, their own lovers, their dreams and their hopes.
Shameful situations
Does the president not have any information about the massacres, ethnic cleansing and genocide taking place in Gaza? Does he not know about Reem, Alma, Hassan, Muhammad, Imad, and the other children in Gaza who were killed by Netanyahu and his government with the direct assistance and participation of the United States of America? I believe, and I am certain, that the President of the United States – from his position, and with the intelligence and media apparatus he possesses – knows the precise details of what is happening around the clock in terms of genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians in Gaza.
If the president has this detailed and accurate information, then why does he not express his “human feelings”? To show sympathy for these children and women in Gaza?! From my point of view, there are two reasons for this behavior; The first: close and tactical, and the second: far, deep and strategic.
As for the first; I believe that these statements come within the framework of his presidential election campaign, and his keenness to please the Zionist lobby and its supporters among the Jews of the United States.
As for the second; It is a clear expression of the deep inner feelings of the President and his team about the criteria for their evaluation of human beings. It is clear that the mentality that led to the founding of the United States – which believes in the superiority of the white race over the rest of the races, which allowed them to exterminate the indigenous peoples and build the state on the shoulders of the blacks who brought them from the African continent, Where the buildings and institutions of the state were mixed with their sweat, blood, and body parts – it is the same one that remains silent when an entire people is exterminated in Gaza, as it has no electoral value, its color is not white, and its eyes are not green.
So, we are faced with a personal position based on tactical opportunism and deep racism, which explains to us why the president and his staff ignored all these Palestinian children and women victims before and after the events of October 7, and we do not expect any change to this shameful humanitarian position. Unfortunately, the position of the President and his Vice President is not an isolated or anomalous position in the context of our follow-up of the West’s general handling of the Palestinian tragedy over the course of 75 years, especially at the official political and major media levels.
Corrupt racist values
The West – in general – committed many massacres against other peoples, including against the Jews during World War II, and the roots of all these massacres and war crimes are based, in essence, on the racist values that the West holds towards others.
It is unfortunate that the leadership of today’s great powers – with their political, legal and moral responsibility – carries these racist values, despite all the horrific experiences of humanity due to these corrupt values.
It is time for the United States and the West, on the one hand, to re-evaluate their positions on these racist values and their repercussions on the path of humanity, and on the other hand, towards the conflict between the Palestinians and the Zionists. American policies that are blatantly biased in favor of Zionist positions are the main reason for everything you are suffering from. The region is plagued by tragedies, unrest, and lack of security and stability.
If the American administration had adhered from the beginning to international law and international humanitarian law in resolving the conflict; May everyone have enjoyed security and stability for decades, and may we have preserved the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinians who have been killed over the past decades.
Finally, I dedicate this noble verse to the American President and his administration, so that he may reconsider his position on conflict in particular, and on the relationship between human beings in general: {O people! Indeed, We created you from males and females, and made you peoples in veneration. That you may come to know each other. Indeed, the most honorable of you in the sight of God is the most pious of you. Indeed, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware.( Surah Al-Hujurat: 13)
