The judge told Max during the trial: “You were very foolish to continue after your first and second arrest. This makes your situation much worse.”
Norman, who has a total of five previous convictions for nine offences, suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and Tourette syndrome (involuntary movements).
The British newspaper reported that Norman trained in the youth team at Manchester City and left in 2015 to move to Wigan Athletic, then Tranmere Rovers and Morecambe in England. He also had an eight-month experience with the Turkish team Alanyaspor in 2019.
Stuart McNally, who represented Max Norman at the trial, noted: “My client is an extremely talented footballer who has played at a high level in both Britain and Europe.”
