The Mauritanian team won its first victory in the continental championship, occupying third place in the group, while the Algerian team stopped at two points in fourth place.
The Mauritanian national team became the second team to qualify from among the four best teams that ranked third in the six groups, after the Guinea national team, which qualified earlier yesterday, Tuesday.
At Charles Konan Bani Stadium, the Angolan national team qualified for the round of 16 as group leader after winning with two unanswered goals over the Burkina Faso national team, which also qualified as group runner-up.

The goals of the Angolan national team were scored by Christopher Mabololo (36) and Zeni Kabaka in the second minute of stoppage time for the match.
The Angolan team raised its score to 7 points at the top of the standings, while the Burkina Faso team stopped at 4 points in second place.
