A frugal mother has discovered how to enjoy McDonalds items from the comfort of home and for just a fraction of the price.
British TikToker who goes by the username @mumxchef, took to the app to share some of her top tips on where people can buy restaurant menu ingredients.
In the video which has now amassed more than four million views, the mother revealed she buys McDonald’s products from The Company Shop – a food supplier who redistribute surplus stock.
The mother – who shares budget friendly meals and shopping videos – revealed a shop’s huge freezers jam packed with package of frozen goods.
In the first segment of the video, the mother shared footage of one box containing what appear to be bags full of the fast food chain’s beloved hash browns.

‘The first place that sells most of the McDonalds items is The Company Shop that have a couple of locations around the UK,’ said the creator.
In another video, the creator revealed that customers can get their hands on 20 McDonald’s apple pie portions for just £5.
The famous pies vary in cost across the UK but generally go for around £1.19 each when bought fresh in store, meaning customers can get 19 more pies for only £4 more.
Fans of the fast-food chain’s popular grub can also snaffle up 1kg of chicken nuggets for £4.50 and even £2.50 for a 2.4kg bag of fries.
‘Yes all the stock I’m showing you, is actually McDonald’s stock,’ she claimed in the clip.
‘The Company Shop get stock directly from McDonald’s including seasonal items like the mini waffles,’ she explained.
‘They also sell overproduced stock. Stock that does not meet a certain weight requirement and then seasonal items.
‘Don’t forget that they change their menu every month and all that gets left over gets sold to The Company Shop.

Along with savoury favourites, the TikToker revealed that customers can also find sweet items such as Aero mint McFlurry toppings sold for just £1
The video revealed that what appear to be the McDonalds spicy nuggets, are also available for £4.50 per kilo
According to the creator of the video, many of the items stocked are surplus items from seasonal menus such as from Christmas and summer
‘The best thing about it is that it gets sold at such a cheap price,’ she explained.
The Company Shop not only stock the fast-food chain giant but also dish out ingredients used by other venues.
For example, the TikToker revealed a box of plant-based pepperoni used as a pizza topping at Pizza Hut.
‘These will either be sold to The Company Shop because they don’t meet the weight requirement, might be a bit funny shaped, or are close to their expiry date but still fine to use,’ she said.
Alongside dead stock from Pizza Hut, items from Greggs are also on offer with the creator revealing huge boxes of the bakery’s vegetable bakes, onion bhaajis and pizzas.
The vegetable bake, which usually sells for well over £1, can be purchased as a pack of four for just 40p.
According to The Company Shop website, the sellers work ‘directly with manufacturers and retailers to secure surplus stock’.
The savvy mother also noted that greasy grub lovers could find items at the ‘X Sell’ range in Heron Foods, including surplus items made by the same fast-food giant.
In particular, the TikToker noted the cheese and garlic bites from McDonalds that she gladly scored from the retailer.
‘For some of you who were sceptical about whether Heron were selling McDonalds range – while many of you scoured the internet for the cheese and garlic bites supplier but could not find it anywhere.

The TikToker was able to get her hands on the highly sought after cheese and garlic bites from Heron foods
‘I got mine from no other than Heron,’ she insisted, revealing the slightly unusually shaped cheese bites.
‘The X Sell range is where loads of big companies sell them seasonal items that they no longer need. Items that don’t meet a certain weight requirement even might be a little bit funny shaped McDonald’s is one of these companies,’ the mother explained.
‘But just like the company shop, Heron will only have items in when McDonald’s has stuff to sell. For example, when a seasonal item has ended, or if any item has a defect.’
However, for those looking to pick up their off season McDonald’s stock from The Company Shop, there is one caveat.

Punters must be a member The Company Shop to be able to access their UK stores, with membership coming under the condition that shoppers are either a key worker or on benefits.
