The Israeli occupation army continued its bombing of various areas in the Gaza Strip, targeting homes and shelters for the displaced, especially schools, leaving martyrs and wounded.
Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that 4 people were killed and others were injured as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house west of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Since Thursday morning, more than 60 Palestinians have been killed and others injured in Israeli shelling that targeted different areas of the Gaza Strip.
A statistical statement of the latest daily developments, published by the spokesman for the Palestinian Civil Defense Authority in Gaza, Mahmoud Basal, stated that a Palestinian was killed in an Israeli bombardment that targeted a house belonging to the Rayan family, north of the Gaza Strip.
He added that the Israeli artillery targeted the eastern and northern areas of the Northern Governorate.
In Gaza Governorate, the statement said that 26 Palestinians were killed in Israeli shelling that targeted different areas.
He explained that 5 martyrs were killed in the bombing of a house belonging to the Shaldan family in the city center, 5 martyrs were killed in the bombing of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, and 16 martyrs were killed in the bombing that targeted Al-Zahraa and Abdul Fattah Hamoud schools, which house displaced people.
In the central governorate, the statement said that 26 Palestinians were killed in shelling in different areas, including 8 who were killed when a house belonging to the Abu Zaid family was targeted in the Bureij camp.
15 Palestinians were also killed in a bombing of a residential area in the same camp, and 3 others were killed in a targeting of a group of citizens north of the Nuseirat camp, according to the statement.
In Khan Yunis Governorate, south of the Gaza Strip, 7 Palestinians were killed in two separate raids.
The occupation army continues to target centers for displaced persons, especially schools. The government media office in the Gaza Strip said that the occupation army has bombed 174 centers for displaced persons since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip.
Resistance operations
In field developments, and with the intensification of battles on the axes of penetration from Netzarim to Khan Yunis and Rafah, the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – broadcast new scenes that it said showed a tight ambush carried out by its members, targeting enemy vehicles penetrating the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood west of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades also broadcasted pictures that it said showed the seizure of two “Sky Lark” and “Bomber” aircraft of the occupation army while they were carrying out intelligence missions in the airspace east and west of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – announced the bombing of an occupation command and control headquarters in the Netzarim axis with 107 missiles.
The Al-Quds Brigades also broadcasted images that it said showed the Gaza envelope settlements being bombed with a barrage of rockets.
In contrast, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that the Israeli army entered Khan Yunis for the third time with different units.
The Authority added that Israel still considers the Gaza Strip the main front, despite the escalation on multiple fronts.
For its part, the Israeli occupation army said that its forces found tunnel openings, hideouts and ambushes inside residential homes in Rafah.
The Israeli army spokesman added that his forces, while combing the area, found passages inside the walls that were set up by what he described as “terrorists” to move between civilian homes and set up ambushes using civilians as human shields, according to his expression.
With broad American support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, leaving more than 131,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine.
