BBC presenter Andy Stevenson brilliantly hit back at vile critics who mocked his disability on social media while covering Olympic boxing in Paris.
The Northern Ireland-born journalist is part of the Beeb’s coverage of the Olympic Games in France’s capital and was inside the Stade Roland Garros where the final fights of the tournament are being staged.
Stevenson was born with very short arms, no arms and a left leg that only comes down to knee level that forces him to wear a prosthetic limb, but hasn’t let that stop him from pursuing his dreams.
A career spanning nearly 20 years in the sport’s media industry has seen Stevenson work for a host of broadcasters including the BBC and Eurosport which has seen him nominated for individual accolades.
His presence at the Olympics has seen Stevenson report ringside where he uses an adaptable arm typically used by photographers to make notes on and a microphone stand when speaking to the camera.
