The retired military and strategic expert, Major General, said: Fayez Al-Duwairi The ambush that you carried out Qassam Brigades The military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (agitation) in the neighborhood Hill of love Southwest of the city Gaza It appears that planning for these operations preceded the attack of October 7th.Al-Aqsa Flood).
The scenes of the ambush – which Qassam called “Al-Baraa” – showed a precise monitoring of the Israeli vehicles and the planting of explosive devices in the ambush area, noting that the planting operation took place last December, and the fighters had been waiting for the occupation vehicles to arrive in the area for more than 8 months.
Al-Duwairi sees – in an analysis of the military scene in Gaza Strip– The planning of these operations came as a result of a precise analysis that anticipated the enemy’s reaction, which led to the preparation of advanced scenarios, adding that this ambush was part of a comprehensive defensive plan based on delayed destruction.
He explained that the defensive planning included a combination of fire and maneuver, as the resistance had complete control over the timing and stages of the explosion, noting that this precise control was part of a more comprehensive plan based on employing indirect forces to achieve strategic objectives at the appropriate time.
Different ambush
The military expert pointed out that the operation carried out in Tal al-Hawa differed from other operations that came as immediate reactions, as the Tal al-Hawa ambush was prepared in advance and under close surveillance, while other ambushes were the result of a quick response to the movements of the occupation army.
He added that the implementation of the recent Tal al-Hawa ambush depended on close monitoring of the movements of the occupation forces, and the explosive devices were activated when the forces reached the targeted area, which shows the careful planning that preceded the operation for a long time.
Al-Duwairi confirmed that the ambush was carried out in full coordination between the resistance elements, as all stages of the operation were under complete control, suggesting that the forces carrying out the operation were not present in the area throughout the eight months, but were summoned at the appropriate moment to implement the plan.
He pointed out that despite the caution shown by the occupation army during its incursion into the area, where it used a bulldozer to verify that the road was cleared before the tanks entered, its forces fell into the trap when they thought they were safe, which led to the resistance's success in destroying the specified targets.
Al-Duwairi explained that the resistance's use of delayed destruction, as happened in this ambush, shows its ability to carry out complex and carefully studied operations, stressing that this strategy was part of a defensive plan aimed at confronting Israeli military superiority in unconventional ways.
