Al-Qassam Brigades explained that the operation dates back to August 11, and took place near the “Mehola” settlement in the northern Jordan Valley, and resulted in the immediate death of an Israeli soldier.
The scenes showed the precise planning process for the operation, the number of perpetrators, and its target (settlers and soldiers), after the monitoring process was completed and the guard shift was known.
In the morning, the Qassam fighters set out to carry out the operation. The vehicle carrying them stopped in front of the Israeli soldier’s car, and they opened fire on him with a series of direct gunshots, before withdrawing safely.
On that date, Al-Qassam had announced its responsibility for the shooting operation, and said that its fighters in the West Bank had managed to carry out a shooting operation from zero distance, “targeting the vehicle of the Zionist soldier Yonatan Deutsch (23 years old)…and killed him instantly.”
She pointed out that the operation comes “in revenge for the blood of the martyrs and in response to the dawn massacre at the Al-Tabi’in School in Gaza and the ongoing massacres of the occupation in Gaza Strip “The steadfast.”
She stressed that her fighters in the West Bank “will keep pulling the trigger and will pursue the occupier at every intersection and alley.”
On July 7, the spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, said that “the nightmare of the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the occupied territories of 1948 is coming inevitably,” stressing that “the ongoing escalation of resistance in the West Bank is a response and choice of our people in confronting the systematic genocide.”
In the past few months, resistance operations have escalated in the West Bank, after the occupation army increased its raids on various cities and carried out assassinations against resistance fighters from all factions through special forces or bombing by warplanes or drones.
