As usual, the English Premier League dominates the list of the most spending European clubs in the summer transfer market, as it spent about 2.2 billion euros.
The International Centre for Sports Studies indicates that clubs spent 270 million euros less than last summer’s transfer window.
Once again, Chelsea topped the list of the ten highest-spending European teams, which includes six English clubs, two Italian teams, one Spanish team and one French team.
The top ten clubs are:
10- West Ham United spent 144.4 million euros.
9- Tottenham Hotspur spent 148.8 million euros.
8- Napoli spent 150 million euros.
7- Juventus spent 163 million euros.
6- Paris Saint-Germain spent 170 million euros.
5- Aston Villa spent 176 million euros.
4- Atletico Madrid spent 185 million euros.
3- Manchester United spent 215 million euros.
2- Brighton spent 230 million euros.
1- Chelsea spent 261 million euros.
