The Forensic Medicine Authority in Izmir province completed the autopsy procedures on Friday on the body of Turkish-American activist Aisha Nur Azgi Aygi, who was killed by Israeli army gunfire in West Bank Occupied.
The activist's body was transferred from Adnan Menderes Airport in Izmir, western Turkey, to the Forensic Medicine Authority, where the autopsy process lasted about 4 hours.
Justice Minister Yilmaz Tanç noted that the results of this new autopsy, after the first autopsy conducted by three Palestinian doctors, “will constitute evidence that we will use.”
The minister added that he intends to issue international arrest warrants based on the results of the investigation.
The activist's body was then transferred to her hometown in the Didim district of Aydin province, where she is scheduled to be buried tomorrow, Saturday, after performing the funeral prayer after the noon prayer at the central mosque in Didim.
On Friday, many Turkish cities witnessed the funeral prayer in absentia for the soul of the Turkish activist. Representatives of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation, a number of political party officials, representatives of civil society organizations, and a large number of citizens participated in the prayer.
Turkish condemnation
Turkey strongly condemned the killing of the activist, and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that his country would make every effort to ensure that Aisha Noor's killing does not go unpunished.
The Minister of Justice called on the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions to form an independent commission of inquiry and submit a report on the matter.

Israeli investigation
For its part, the US State Department said that the Israeli side informed us of the initial investigation into the killing of American citizen Aisha Noor.
The ministry added that Israel informed the United States that it would conduct a criminal investigation into the killing of Aisha Nour, and Washington is awaiting the results of the investigation before determining what steps should be taken.
While US Senator Bernie Sanders said that “there will be no accountability for the killing of Aisha Noor if the investigation is left to the extremist Israeli government.”
The Israeli army killed activist Aisha Nour with live bullets while she was participating in an activity denouncing settlements in the town of Beita in the Nablus Governorate in the northern occupied West Bank on September 6.
