Partial results shown for presidential elections In the United States of America, the Republican candidate advanced Donald Trump With 247 votes in Electoral College Compared to 210 votes for his Democratic competitor Kamala Harris Which is clinging to its last hopes of winning before 3 states are decided.
Trump showed a strong performance in a wide sector of the country and is close to obtaining the 270 electoral college votes required to secure victory and return to the White House again.
After the Republican candidate won the swing states of North Carolina and Georgia, Harris’ remaining hope is to win the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, but the latest data indicate that she is lagging behind her competitor in the three states.
Kamala Harris’ campaign manager, Jane Malley Dillon, confirmed that the “clearest path to victory” passes through the three of the seven swing states that usually decide the results of the presidential elections.
“It is an extremely tight race,” Dillon wrote in a letter to the campaign teams, seen by Agence France-Presse. “We have always known that our clearest path to obtaining the votes of 270 large voters passes through the blue wall states. We are happy with what we see.”
The “Blue Wall”, in the color of the Democratic Party, consists of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, located in the northeast of the country and the Great Lakes region.
Voters primarily concerned with the economy voted overwhelmingly for Trump, especially in light of a feeling that their economic conditions were worse than they were four years ago.
About 31% of voters said that the economy is their main issue. About 45% of voters across the country said that their family’s financial situation is worse today than it was four years ago.
