Israel Hayom newspaper said that 5 Israeli fans were injured in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, after the end of the match between the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam and the Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv in the European League, which ended with the former winning 5 goals to nothing.

For its part, Israeli Channel 14 reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his new Foreign Minister Gideon Saar were briefed about the incident.

Sa'ar said that Israel is dealing with the relevant authorities in the Netherlands regarding what he described as the attack on Israelis in Amsterdam.
