Daddy Yankee Alleges Mireddys González Withdrew $100 Million Without Authorization Amid Divorce
Daddy Yankee is going through divorce trouble.
After the musician announced he and Mireddys González were separating following 29 years of marriage, he filed multiple motions against his estranged wife, citing she had withdrawn a cumulative $100 million from company accounts without his authorization.
In documents filed Dec. 13 obtained by Billboard, Yankee (real name Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez) alleged that González—along with her sister Ayeicha González Castellano—had taken $80 million from the El Cartel Records account, and filed a second motion later that same day citing that an additional $20 million had been taken from the Los Cangris music account.
The 47-year-old labeled González taking the money as a “desperate attempt” that went against “warnings received and express requests that she put a stop to any management and initiative that would compromise the company’s finance,” per the outlet, who cited the documents.
“It now becomes evident why she has wanted to keep him in the dark,” the filing states, per Billboard, “and deny him information about the withdrawals and cash movements that she and her sister make behind his back.”
