PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — An active weather week lies ahead over the holidays.
On Saturday, Dec. 21, Portland International Airport reported 0.11″ of rain. Over three-tenths of an inch was reported for Scappoose, Ore.
And there is even more rain on the way as a new system approaches the Pacific Northwest by mid-morning on Sunday. New rain amounts could be between a quarter and half an inch.
SPC Day 2 outlook has a chance for thunderstorms to develop throughout the day. No chances for severe weather with this system.
Taking a break from the rain for Monday, the day will start cloudy and dry until the evening when rain moves back into the region.
Light rain is expected for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
