COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football is in a race with Missouri for highly-rated pass rusher Damon Wilson, according to a report from Steve Wiltfong of On3.
Wilson is in the transfer portal after two seasons at Georgia. This season, he appeared in 13 games and collected 20 tackles, three sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss.
Wilson recently visited OSU as well as Mizzou.
The edge rusher is a former five-star prospect out of Venice High School in Venice, Florida. In the 2023 recruiting class, he was pursued by the Buckeyes.
A Big Ten coordinator is heading to the ACC
Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Allen is expected to leave for the same role at Clemson, according to multiple reports.
He spent one season with the Nittany Lions, helping lead one of the Big Ten’s best units. Penn State ranked fourth in the conference in total defense, third in scoring defense and second in sacks.
Allen joined coach James Franklin’s staff after he was fired as Indiana’s head coach. He spent eights seasons with the Hoosiers, including one as the defensive coordinator (2016) and seven at the helm (2017-2023).
His stint as IU’s head coach included two bowl appearances.
If hired, Allen would work under coach Dabo Swinney after the Tigers fired defensive coordinator Wes Goodwin last week.
