Leona Lewis plans to share her life with audiences during her upcoming Las Vegas residency, “A Starry Night,” scheduled to run at Voltaire at The Venetian from November through January.
Inspired by Adele’s intimate residency, which blended powerhouse vocals with personal anecdotes, Lewis aims to create a similar connection with her fans. “I love that about [Adele’s] show,” Lewis said. “It’s about pulling back the curtain and knowing who the artist really is and why we sing the songs we sing.” She noted that the intimate venue was a key reason she chose the residency.
Marking nearly two decades since her breakthrough on The X Factor, the show will serve as a retrospective of her career and personal journey. “A lot has happened in my life,” she explained. “This is not just a show. This is me sharing what I’ve been through, how I started, why I wrote certain songs… It’s the culmination of my life’s work in music.”
Lewis expressed immense pride in following legendary performers like Elton John and Adele onto the Las Vegas stage. “It’s a big deal coming from the UK, a girl from Hackney, to do a big Vegas show,” she stated. “That really means something to me, my family and my community.”
To support her during the run, Lewis’s family will be joining her. Her parents plan to come out to help with her daughter, Coco, and with her husband also having work in the city, she hopes to “feel embedded in the community.”
The singer also shared that her former X Factor mentor, Simon Cowell, remains a key supporter. “When I told him about Vegas he was so supportive,” she said. “He has always had my back from day one on the show and he still does now. I can always call him up.”
